Mission Inn 5k

Well today was the 5k WALK. It took place at the Mission Inn. Sorta of. How about next to it.  Myself Cyndi and my friend, Dr Yates. (he ran the 10k in less time that it Cyndi and I walked the 5k)

It started off being butt cold. OMG I could not feel my hands. But by the time the WALKERs started it warmed up and made for a nice day. I walked the whole the, never even troted a few steps. So far my back and ankle is good. I am very proud that I followed the doctors orders.

OK just my day and not much to it. I wish you all a great day

congrats to you and cyndi, Lu!!

it's not how fast you did the 5K, but that you DID it that counts, in my book!

best wishes...

Awww Lori, you are so right, finishing is all that matters. And finishing with our next race in mind and be able to finish that one also.

All my boo boos are doing great, so I think I will be walking on..

I'm very happy that you followed doctor's orders.  I know how hard that is for you, Ms. Stubborn.  You'll appreciate it in the long run.  Rather have you able to walk 100 more 5K's then run one and be bedridden and not be able to walk another one ever.

Good job and glad you enjoyed it.

Love ya,
Steph

I walked because you and Ms. D scared the heck out of me. I walked like a good girl. Beside, Dr Yates was there and he would be mad if I ran.

The best thing of all is: both back and ankle will living to WALK.  Iced my ankle when I got home, but I don't think I needed to, but I done it to be safe.

I wish you a great night

I know it had to be hard to walk when you are so used to running, but good for you for behaving!  Congrats on finishing the WALK!!

It really was not that hard, the group of ladies walking around us was lots of fun. We chatted the whole way. Made the time pass and I think I have made a few new friends who will be walking the next race we are planning to do.

Thank you Diane for the support

Apparently you and I scared her enough that she walked.  Poor thing...An Italian on one side and a Jewish mother on the other.  She was doomed if she didn't obey us.  LOL

See you tomorrow at 6PM.  The 2 fellas will not be joining us.  Just us.  Can't wait though.  See you tomorrow.

Love ya,
Steph
